In this video, you'll see me make a batch of Simple Herbal Lotion. It's a recipe that's easy to make and customize with your favorite oils and herbs. (Look for the printable recipe sheet right after this video.)

Remember that the oil phase jar contains oils and emulsifiers, plus other things that need melting such as stearic acid, shea and other butters, and beeswax.

The water phase jar contains distilled water, or other water-based liquids such as aloe and witch hazel.

The cool down phase contains ingredients that are more sensitive to heat, such as essential oils and preservatives.
